Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak ClimbingThe Pisang peak lies in the Annapurna region near the beautiful Buddhist village of Manang. Pisang peak climbing can be well combined with the popular Annapurna circuit trek to make a very satisfying Himalayan trek and climbing adventure in a single trip. Climbing Pisang peak is not considered a difficult climb; however it is a high peak with considerable slope, so not to be over simplified.

The Pisang Peak rises above from Pisang village and alpine yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the snow capped summit.

The approach trek for Pisang peak climbing is the popular Annapurna circuit trek till Chame. From Chame we follow the trail to the Pisang village from where the path ascends through alpine woods and yak pastures. We set up the base camp at Kharka at (4,380m). High Camp is set up at (5,400m approx) on the South-West Ridge. The peak is made up of steeply tilted rocks, the deep slope of which faces the valley below. There will be snow at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March.

After the summit we folloe the trail to classic Thorung La pass, descend down to the ever popular Muktinath temple and further to Birethanti and complete the trip. Those with shorter holiday can take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara omitting the last part of the trek.

The climbing group will be accompanied by a climbing guide, base camp support guide, camp cook , and necessary number of porters. You just carry your day pack, rest is carried by our porters and the usual walking hour is 6 hours. Back at kathmandu we celebrate your amazing trip with tradiitional Nepali dinner and ethnic cultural show.
